Meghan began her career working in Early Intervention and later in a Manhattan charter school serving children ages 5–18. Through this work, she developed a strong passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delays in school, home, and community settings.
Meghan has extensive experience working in preschools, elementary schools, and middle schools as a SEIT. She values close collaboration with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure children receive consistent, thoughtful support throughout the school day.
In home and community settings, Meghan uses a fun, naturalistic approach that builds on each child’s interests and strengths. She incorporates both Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) to support social, developmental, and functional skill growth in meaningful, real-world ways.
Meghan believes, in line with Progressive Kids’ philosophy, that every child is unique and deserves programming tailored to their individual needs, abilities, and goals. She takes pride in creating supportive, individualized plans that help children build confidence and independence.
Meghan and Jamie met in 2010 while completing their graduate studies at Hunter College and worked together on clinical teams for many years. They remain close colleagues and friends.
Known for her warm, bubbly presence, Meghan quickly builds strong connections with the children and families she works with. She is a trusted partner to families and school teams and a valued member of the Progressive Kids team.
