Direct Instruction
Provide in-home, school-based, and Telehealth direct instruction and behavioral intervention for children based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis on verbal behavior and social emotional development
Progressive Kids is excited to offer social skills and competencies groups, Progressive Kids Club (PKC) in the Upper East Side. Social skills groups are an evidence-based practice that teach through facilitated social interactions with peers. Groups of children are formed based on age and developmental skill level. PKC offers a unique curriculum that is curated and led by Jamie Kraus, MSEd, BCBA, LBA. Children must meet group requirements with skill level and referral. MORE INFORMATION HERE
Executive Functioning
Provide scaffolded skill development to work on executive functioning for one self as well as socially
Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT)
Provide individualized school-based facilitation for students in their mainstream educational setting using least-intrusive methods to generalize skills and foster the growth of social and language skills with typically developing peers
Parent & Family Training
Work with parents and families to facilitate carryover of skill acquisition and maintenance as well as behavioral interventions to promote skill generalization
Behavior Modification
Work with children in the context of their natural environment to increase functional skills and decrease interfering behavior surrounding emotional regulation, tolerance, flexibility, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behavior, sensory integration, executive functioning, following directions, attending, and impulsivity
Program Development
Develop individualized treatment goals based on observation, assessments, and both family and school reports to create diversified programming unique to each individual child to increase skill acquisition and development across domains including social, communication, language, cognitive and motor skills
Learning Support
Facilitate in-person or virtual learning support to increase successful schooling, foster home routines, develop academic executive functioning, and strengthen family dynamics
Adaptive Daily Living Skills
…Sleep training, Toilet training, Meal times, Getting dressed, etc.
Programming is individualized to meet the needs of children and their families. Programming is focused on child development and includes adaptive daily living skills. PK targets these skills including sleep training, toilet training and meal time behavior (including food acceptance).
